Position: Workers' Compensation Representative

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for workers' compensation claims, both incoming and outgoing communication.

• Liaise with insurance companies, employers, personal injury attorneys, and patients to facilitate the processing of workers' compensation claims.

• Obtain necessary documentation and information required for claims processing, including medical records, accident reports, and treatment plans.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, following up as needed to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to ensure proper documentation and coding of services provided.

• Educate patients and staff on workers' compensation processes and requirements, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Previous experience in workers' compensation, medical billing, or related field preferred.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance regulations.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software.
